Description:
The Business Analyst (BA) will possess substantial knowledge and experience in requirements gathering techniques and practices as well as being adept at performing in a consultative role. The BA will be responsible for eliciting and documenting functional requirements and business rules for software projects quickly and efficiently. The BA will be expected to capture the necessary information from stakeholders and take a copious amount of useful notes. The BA will also be responsible for executing various project-related tasks at the direction of project team lead. The BA should also possess and display expertise with requirements management tools such as DOORS, Requisite Professional, Blue Print, or similar. Exceptional communication skills are essential to this position. Must be able to facilitate JAD sessions.

Responsibilities include:

  • Facilitating stakeholder meetings
  • Proactively communicating and collaborating with external and internal customers to analyze information needs and functional requirements and deliver the following artifacts as needed: Functional requirements (Business Requirements Document), scenarios, GUI, screen and interface designs
  • Organizing information thoughtfully so that it makes sense to stakeholders and other team members
  • Utilizing requirements management tools (RequisitePro, Doors, or similar)
  • Gathering requirements quickly and efficiently with minimal to no instruction
  • Participating in Requirements Review Sessions and Visualization Comment Review Sessions with stakeholders, capturing feedback and revisions
  • Capturing, communicating, and modeling business processes
  • Managing multiple versions of technical documentation
  • Organizing and managing large amounts of requirements for each project

Required:

  • Minimum of 3 years gathering and documenting software requirements
  • Must be a US Citizen
  • Must be willing to qualify, submit to and pass government security clearance
