Visualization Analyst (Business Analysts should consider)
Description:

Visualization Analysts are a new kind of consultant. In other organizations they might be known as "User Experience Professionals" or "Business Analysts". Because our approach combines the best practices of both disciplines, we need Business Analysts who understand, appreciate, and have a passion for the value of User Experience and vice-versa.


We are looking for an enthusiastic Visualization Analyst (VA) who is eager to take on new challenges. As a VA, you will be responsible for participating in our company’s unique requirements gathering process by documenting system requirements and business rules for software projects. You will be mentored by our Senior Visualization Analysts and other user experience professionals who will share responsibilities for the same projects.


Qualified VA candidates must have 1 to 3 years of Business Analysis experience. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required. Successful candidates will have previous experience gathering and formatting requirements for delivery to business stakeholders (for approval) and developers (for programming). Additionally, the candidate must have previous exposure to various methods of writing requirements including Vision Documents, Use Cases, and System Requirements Documents. It is desired that the candidate have experience working with external clients. The candidate must know how to use MS Visio (beginner or above), MS Excel (intermediate or above) and MS Word (intermediate or above).


The candidate will be expected to assume the scribe role in JAD Sessions and other client meetings, taking copious amounts of useful notes, and have a high-level understanding of various software development methodologies including RUP, Agile, and Waterfall. The candidate will be expected to execute a variety of project-related tasks at the direction of the Senior VAs and other senior project team members. The successful candidate should also demonstrate a genuine interest in the areas of User Interface Design and Information Organization as it relates to system requirements.


Finally, the candidate will be expected to progress into the Senior Visualization Analyst position over time. This will require the candidate to be willing to regularly study industry-related materials, actively gain visualization analysis knowledge and seek opportunities to gain experience, step outside of your role when needed, ask lots of questions, and welcome constructive criticism.

Required Skills:

Other Skills:
  • Must have experience taking useful, high-quality notes in JAD sessions or other requirements-gathering meetings

  • Some visualization tool (iRise, Axure, etc.) experience is a plus but is not required

  • MS Office Suite

  • Photoshop or similar image manipulation software experience is a plus

  • Rational RequisitePro experience is a plus

  • An aptitude for Technical Writing

  • Experience working with external clients is a plus

  • Unified Modeling Language (UML) experience is a plus

  • Use Case Development experience is a plus

  • Ability to create wireframes or screen mock-ups

  • Self starter who has proven ability to accept new challenges and additional responsibilities

  • Ability to trouble-shoot, solve problems, and propose solutions

  • Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, Communication, Marketing, or Information Systems desired


Senior Visualization Analyst (Business Analysts should consider)
Description:

As such, you will be responsible for gathering and documenting high-level and detailed functional requirements for a large mainframe modernization effort for the federal government. You will be part of a team of other business analysts and user experience professionals working on this task.

We are looking for someone with 3-5 years of Business Analyst experience. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are a must. Must be strong at gathering and documenting functional requirements and have a solid foundation of best practices around this discipline. The Business Analyst must have an understanding of how to document Vision Documents, Use Cases Documents, and any other artifacts required to develop software. Must be able to facilitate JAD sessions and have an understanding of the various software development methodologies; including, RUP, Agile, and Waterfall. Must know Visio and Word. Business Process Management BPM background is a plus, but not required.

Visualization Designer (UX and IA Professionals should consider)
Description:
Visualization Designers are a new kind of user experience professional. The Visualization Designer is responsible for translating business and marketing requirements into visualizations that model user tasks with an eye to back-end processes. Their responsibilities extend from page-level user interaction to process flows, including conditional logic and decision points, to inform how best to build new products and services. Candidate must be able to visualize in a user-centered design approach. They work closely with the Visualization Analyst and Visualization Producer to define software applications for our clients.

Location:

  • Atlanta, GA


Required Skills:
  • Leads interaction design for projects with complex back-end process components

  • Reviews marketing and product requirements to identify issues and opportunities

  • Works closely with UI designers to define page-level interaction

  • Responsible for refining standards for consumer facing products

  • Assists in usability evaluations of prototypes and existing interfaces as necessary

  • Must be willing to qualify, submit to and pass government security clearance

  • Must be available to travel up to 50%


Other Skills:
  • At least 3 years experience in user experience

  • Experience designing for major ecommerce websites required

  • Experience creating detailed flowcharts and other interaction design documentation

  • Deep understanding of user-centric design including task analysis and user scenarios

  • Must be able to collaborate with designers and engineers to define solutions

  • Must clearly articulate ideas, be open to change, and be prepared to iterate rapidly

  • Intimate with various browser and platform requirements

  • Experience working with tight deadlines in fast-paced environments with minimal supervision

  • Experience with iRise, Axure or other visualization software.

  • Experience leading cross-functional teams during discovery and design phases of projects

  • Ability to think quickly and assimilate complex issues and ideas quickly

  • Degree in HCI, Information Science, or other design disciplines a plus


Senior Visualization Project Manager
Description:

We are seeking a Project Manager that has experience with creating and establishing a project management methodology that can be adjusted to the needs of various clients. Must have experience with creating project management methodology based on a solid foundation of the appropriate adopted methodologies: PMI, RUP, Agile, Waterfall.

We are looking for someone with 5-10 years of Project Management experience. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are a must. Must be strong at managing and communicating project tasks and have a solid foundation of best practices around this discipline.


The Project Manager must have an understanding of how to document Vision Documents, Use Cases Documents, and another artifacts required to develop software. Must be able to facilitate JAD sessions.


Responsible for actively managing Risks, Issues, Dependencies and Assumptions associated with the project(s).

  • Minimum of 5-10 years of Project Management experience

  • Must be a US Citizen

  • Must be willing to qualify, submit to and pass government security clearance

  • Must be available to travel up to 50%


Other Skills:
  • Ability to work collaboratively to define apropriate reporting for all levels of the company and client.

  • Must have some experience facilitating JAD sessions.

  • Expert facilitation skills required.

  • Experience with running virtual meetings for many participants.

  • PMP Certified is a plus.

  • SDLC Project Lifecycle knowledge is a plus.

  • Some iRise experience is a plus.

  • Expertise with MS Project and the MS Office Suite is a must.

  • Rational Rose a plus.

  • Rational Unified Process (RUP) a plus.

  • Technical Writing ability is a plus.
