OneSpring Gives Back

Responsible leadership is important to OneSpring. This carries over to involvement in our community. We're fortunate that our success enables us to make contributions to various causes throughout the year to make a difference.

OneSpring is continuously looking for causes to give back to and found Cystic Fibrosis Foundation

one with the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Managing Partner and Co-Founder Jason Moccia and his wife Michelle were personally touched when one of their friends’ daughters was diagnosed with CF in 2007. Please read a message from Matt & Amanda below.

Cystic Fibrosis is a life threatening genetic disease that affects the lungs and digestive system of approximately 30,000 children and adults in the US. A defective gene and its protein product cause the body to produce unusually thick and sticky mucus that clogs the lungs and obstructs the pancreas. You can imagine our despair when our three week Cystic Fibrosisold baby girl was diagnosed with CF three years ago. We were scared and confused and did not really know what the future held for her- or for us as her parents. With the doctors’ help, we set out to learn about the disease and how it would affect our lives. Now, almost three years later, Anna Clare is a vibrant, happy and healthy three old. We have been extremely blessed- she has never been hospitalized, and for the most part, she has remained healthy. We do have a few daily treatments that we have to do to keep her healthy and to also prevent mucus buildup in her lungs. She does airway clearance twice a day for 20 minutes each, and she has to take multiple pills with each meal and snack. We have made a point not to shelter her just because she has cystic fibrosis. We take extra precautions, but we expose her to everything we would if she did not have CF. Cystic Fibrosis is a progressive disease and we know that there will be bumps along the way as Anna Clare gets older- more medications, daily treatments, hospitalizations, etc- but with the continued support of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, there have been a lot of recent medical advances that are getting us one step closer to finding a cure.

Thank you for supporting Cystic Fibrosis, Matt and Amanda Poland

The OneSpring team and some clients gathered for a Cystic Fibrosis Charity Event at the Funny Farm in Roswell, GA on March 25, 2010. A splendid time was had by all. One of our clients actually won the raffle and donated his winnings back to the foundation.
