Beachbody is the premier brand of in-home fitness. They have programs that integrate full-body fitness, nutrition, and weight-loss that deliver high-impact results. From their famous workout program, P90X, to specialty training programs such as Shaun T’s FOCUS T25 high-intensity workout, Beachbody engaged OneSpring to help them bring both of these flagship programs to the Android mobile app platform.

Beachbody
Beachbody is the premier brand of in-home fitness. They have programs that integrate full-body fitness, nutrition, and weight-loss that deliver high-impact results. From their famous workout program, P90X, to specialty training programs such as Shaun T’s FOCUS T25 high-intensity workout, Beachbody engaged OneSpring to help them bring both of these flagship programs to the Android mobile app platform.
Challenge
Working with Beachbody’s product team, our designers brought user experience strategy, user interface design, and front-end development expertise to help create the Android mobile app for their P90X and FOCUS T25 products. To help define the product strategy, the team performed user research to help determine the desired customer features to be designed. The experiential user flows were then mapped and validated to optimize accessibility throughout the product. Once the design was verified through prototype testing, the team worked with Beachbody engineering to develop the mobile app’s front-end code. In keeping with the project brief, our goal was to create a highly usable app that offered an elegant user interface and engaging experience while maintaining the brand’s integrity.
Solution
After a successful design and delivery of the P90X Android app, our team was tasked to then work on the P90X3 Android application for Beachbody. Using our rapid prototyping platform, our team was able to create and share our designs with the Beachbody team in Santa Monica, CA on a daily basis throughout the project. This level of collaboration and transparency allowed us to be highly agile in our ability to take the apps from design to development in a fraction of the time, while ensuring constant feedback and validation of our work every step of the way.
Results
The client incorporated our design elements into a revised Beachbody application. In addition, the team worked with the client to ensure consistency in the user experience throughout the project and adapted changes seamlessly into their development lifecycle. This led to more efficient communication between the business and IT, which resulted in reduced development time and an overall better user experience for the product.
