Responsible leadership is important to OneSpring. This carries over to involvement in our community. We’re fortunate that our success enables us to make contributions to various causes throughout the year to make a difference.

TechBridge

TechBridge is a non-profit organization that helps other non-profit companies with their IT needs. From outsourcing to IT consulting, TechBridge focuses on all the core IT needs to enable non-profit organizations to grow and thrive in their mission to help others. For over ten years, TechBridge has helped hundreds of non-profits through their fundraising, charitable donations, education center and knowledge consulting programs.

OneSpring worked with TechBridge to help them improve their requirements definition and management process. After analyzing current challenges and gathering additional insights about their needs, OneSpring provided recommendations that would help TechBridge expedite their business transformation process. To better support the recommendations, OneSpring invited the TechBridge team to participate and also observe in two visualization sessions where the top-tier visualization tools were demonstrated in a joint application modeling or JAM Session™. This helped the team to better understand the capabilities of each tool while also giving a greater context to how the visualization tools would work in their current environment and process. OneSpring modeled a number of Salesforce modules in real-time, thus educating the TechBridge team in the process of joint application modeling and the benefits of requirements visualization. At the end of the session, OneSpring provided a visualization model  to the TechBridge team as a baseline template to work from with future client engagements. Throughout the session, the OneSpring team provided workflow recommendations and best practices in the techniques of visualization to better prepare the TechBridge team for future use of visualization in their consulting endeavors.

Change4Georgia Press Release

OneSpring recently had the chance to get involved with a local, community-driven NPO, dedicated to supporting our troops overseas. A very enterprising young man, Remington Youngblood, started Change4Georgia with support from his mother Rebecca and his local community’s civic leaders. The organization’s website was in need of both a facelift and technology upgrade, making it more accessible to both end-users and those responsible for updating content on a regular basis. OneSpring stepped in, migrating the site from cumbersome, native HTML to a WordPress implementation that easily facilitates updateable content. OneSpring’s Michael Allenberg orchestrated and oversaw the project with the blessing and direction of CEO, Jason Moccia. OneSpring’s go-to developer, Mitch Moccia, handled the hands-on migration of the site, along with design and initial content updates.

OneSpring is proud to have contributed the time and effort to help such an impressive young entrepreneur’s dream become a reality. Remington Youngblood is on his way to galvanizing a huge community of local and national businesses to spearhead his effort, and OneSpring is honored to “join the ranks.”

Below is a brief description of the Change4Georgia mission, taken directly from their website, change4georgia.org

“Change4Georgia (C4G) is a community service program that is inclusive to students and provides them with opportunities to thank our soldiers for their service, dedication and sacrifice in protecting our freedom and keeping our country secure. It was founded by a fifth grader in Forsyth County, Georgia and benefits our brave troops by collecting items from their “Wish List” that they need or want. These are items that are not readily available or not provided, but that add comfort and fit in their backpacks. The program also benefits the children of our active military by providing back packs and school supplies to those who need assistance.”

Susan G. Komen Foundation

OneSpring raised $1000 toward the fight against breast cancer. Several OneSpring consultants wore pink to work to show their support for the cause. It was a fun event and we look forward to the next one.

Cystic Fibrosis Foundation

OneSpring is continuously looking for causes to give back to and found one with the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Managing Partner and Co-Founder Jason Moccia and his wife Michelle were personally touched when one of their friends’ daughters was diagnosed with CF in 2007. Please read a message from Matt & Amanda below.

“Cystic Fibrosis is a life threatening genetic disease that affects the lungs and digestive system of approximately 30,000 children and adults in the US. A defective gene and its protein product cause the body to produce unusually thick and sticky mucus that clogs the lungs and obstructs the pancreas. You can imagine our despair when our three week old baby girl was diagnosed with CF three years ago. We were scared and confused and did not really know what the future held for her- or for us as her parents. With the doctors’ help, we set out to learn about the disease and how it would affect our lives. Now, almost three years later, Anna Clare is a vibrant, happy and healthy three old. We have been extremely blessed- she has never been hospitalized, and for the most part, she has remained healthy. We do have a few daily treatments that we have to do to keep her healthy and to also prevent mucus buildup in her lungs. She does airway clearance twice a day for 20 minutes each, and she has to take multiple pills with each meal and snack. We have made a point not to shelter her just because she has cystic fibrosis. We take extra precautions, but we expose her to everything we would if she did not have CF. Cystic Fibrosis is a progressive disease and we know that there will be bumps along the way as Anna Clare gets older- more medications, daily treatments, hospitalizations, etc- but with the continued support of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, there have been a lot of recent medical advances that are getting us one step closer to finding a cure.”

Thank you for supporting Cystic Fibrosis, Matt and Amanda Poland

The OneSpring team and some clients gathered for a Cystic Fibrosis Charity Event at the Funny Farm in Roswell, GA on March 25, 2010. A splendid time was had by all. One of our clients actually won the raffle and donated his winnings back to the foundation.

March of Dimes

The March of Dimes is more than just a client. In addition to providing discounted services, OneSpring has made financial contributions to the March of Dimes.

Their mission is to improve the health of babies by preventing birth defects, premature birth, and infant mortality. They carry out this mission through research, community services, education and advocacy to save babies’ lives. March of Dimes researchers, volunteers, educators, outreach workers and advocates work together to give all babies a fighting chance against the threats to their health: prematurity, birth defects, low birthweight.
